After a car accident, you should call the police and file an accident report. You also need to get medical attention as soon as possible. Here are some other things you should do after a car accident:
Take pictures of the scene of the accident for your insurance company's records.
Call your insurance company if you have collision coverage on your policy.
Contact all other drivers involved in the accident. Ask them what they did and specifically ask them to describe their injuries, if any.
If possible, take a picture of each person’s license plate and make note of any distinguishing features such as bumper stickers or vehicle make or model that might be helpful in identifying who was at fault in the crash.
