China is spending tens of billions of euros to construct mega-refineries, but the demand for fuel will reach its maximum value in five years, Bloomberg reports.

At least four mega-refinery projects are currently under construction in China. This fuel demand is expected to peak in 2025, after which it will start to decline due to the expansion of electric vehicles. China currently produces more fuel than it needs, which means exports of nearly one million barrels a day.
