As the Consumer Electronics Show 2023 wraps up, the large hotel exhibition pavilions are dismantled to make room for the next event; industry insiders have some quiet time to reflect on the most significant and illustrative innovations of the moment.

Among these is the prototype of Sony Honda Mobility, the Afeela electric car. Sony and Honda are two of Japan's top technology corporations. Joint Venture CEO Yasuhide Mizuno announced the EV at CES during Sony's press conference.

A Vision-S prototype (first shown in 2020 at CES) emerged on stage with the new branding in town. The emblem is displayed on a front-mounted screen that can also display information for the driver (and onlookers) about the weather, the car's battery life, and advertisements. Mizuno has also offered dates for specific milestones leading up to the release of the first Afeela electric car

The first half of 2025 will be dedicated to taking pre-orders, with actual sales beginning before the year's conclusion. The initial rollout will begin in the spring of 2026 in the North American market. The car will have 45 sensors and cameras (both inside and out) thanks to the collaboration with Sony, and it will undoubtedly have the best in-car entertainment for movies, music, and games.
