India is on the verge of experiencing electricity shortage because there are only 2 days of coal reserve left.’ This coal crisis is experienced by countries like China and other European countries as well. India generates 52% of its electricity with coal itself, and in that case, coal shortage will lead to unwanted electricity cuts.

India is the second-largest coal producer, but we have to import it from countries like Indonesia, Australia, and Africa because of the high demands.

There are 135 power plants in India, and they always keep a reserve stock for 15 to 30 days. But the majority of these power plants have reserves left for a maximum of four days.
