The Renault Group presented a new 100% electric vehicle, eight years after the launch of the famous Zoé: Mégane eVision concept. This model is based on a new modular platform developed by Renault and Nissan, the CMF-EV, and will be launched in 2021.

The Megane eVision has a length of 4,210 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, a height of 1,505 mm and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The weight is 1,650 kilograms, and here we have noticed a significant reduction in weight compared to the competition.

The Renault Megane eVision concept has a 217hp / 300Nm electric motor. eVision can speed up from 0 to 100 km / h in under 8 seconds, the top speed is unknown. The energy for the drive comes from a battery with a capacity of 60 kWh. A range of 450 kilometres in the WLTP cycle should be possible with one charge.

The Megane eVision concept has big, 20-inch aerodynamic wheels on in the form of propeller blades.

The Renault Group claim that the series model to be launched in 2021 will have 95% of the design of this concept car. Renault has not yet given any price, but we expect around 30,000 euros for the base model. Renault Megane eVision will be assembled at the Douai plant. Its engine will also be produced in France, at Cléon (Seine-Maritime).
