These documents must be maintained and managed according to legal requirements. Some of these documents cannot be destroyed before the retention period specified by regulatory authorities. In these situations, real-time tracking of such files becomes essential to avoid penalties or losing court cases if the necessary documents are not produced on time. RFID technology can be employed to track files and documents by attaching RFID tags to them, which are then monitored by fixed readers placed at strategic locations.
